During the industrial revolution families really needed jobs so they began to move to the new industrial cities. Child labor played a huge role during the industrial revolution. The children were as young as six and worked up to nineteen hours and only had one hour of break. The children worked with horrible, dangerous machines that often killed at work. But when the factory act in 1833 children were treated a little better. During this time the children were only payed half of what an adult would receive. And occasionally some children would receive no pay from their owners.

Harsh Treatments of children labor
Child labor treatments during the industrial labor was rough and despicable. During this time a child safety never came first when the job needed to be done, the owners could care less. There was a higher percentage at 86% for children working at fourteen and older then there was fourteen percentage for children working less then fourteen. With this way of work the oldest were to work with machines and do most of the rough work, younger children were assistants to to textile workers. Younger children were beat more often than older children by the owners they served. Punishments for being late or not working at the working at the right pace or with effort would result in cruel punishment. A couple of punishments the children would receive would be a weight tied around the neck and force to walk up and down the aisles of the factory and this punishment could last up to one hour. Another punishment was the child was striped of all their clothing went out of there bed and force to put them on we working this punishment was often giving to boys who tended to be late.

food during the INDUSTRIAL revolution
During the industrial revolution food was very important. During work for children they were not feed a lot. For breakfast they had only a thirty minutes and also for lunch so they had to eat quickly to get back to work. This is a list of foods that were giving sometimes and not only children also the adults. A few foods giving was Oatcakes, Porridge ,solidified Bread, soups ,Mutton, bacon, potatoes , gruel, apples ,pears, and to drink beers and tea. Foods that weren't giving was tropical fruit because there was none around this time for drinks dairy products were to expensive for the poor.

housing conditions
During the industrial revolution there were two different sets of homing. The living conditions varied during this time. There were homes of the wealthy and poor then people who don't have a home. The wealthy had really large homes that tended to be surrounded by massive gardens. The wealthy would live away from factories that gave them fresh , no polluted air. The poor housing were very small and was always in terrible condition.some homes would be connected with sewers , and toilet tactilities. The conditions of this houses were unimaginable , disgusting and most of the time they were packed with many people.

role of women
During the industrial revolution women roles were just as difficult and tiring as children and men working. Women were expected to go out to work mills or mines. Women that were more fortunate kind of had the option to become a maid when openings. The women would become maids for wealthier families. And if fortunate women couldn't become maids they could become governesses for the rich. But few women that were unfortunate were forced to work in shocking conditions, but this was only during the day. Then after work they would return home to do other duties such as taking care of the children , cooking , washing , and cleaning.

clothing during the revolution
During the industrial revolution fashion came into play. The women during the revoultion wore voluminous skirt and large sleeves. The women used light material and soft colors such as light orange, light blue but mainly white. The material women mainly used was batiste , embroidered muslin materials. Other materials used for romance was moire, brocades, valet, and damask . The colors with these type of fabrics were darker colors and sombre. The women would wore these type of fashions (skirts) always wore them through any situations horseback riding , working and house duties. Men often wore pants and shorts there clothing was made most of the time with the same fabrics.
