ROle Of Blacks
The life and living conditions of many African Americans during this time period did not really
improve much since they were slaves. The majority of most people in general were
very poor in this era, but even more so for African Americans, who have
desperately been trying to gain freedom and money and happiness ever since they
were slaves, got their hopes up when they we freed, but them everything became
clear that not much was going to change for a long time. It was nearly
impossible for anyone to get out of poverty in this time period, and especially
if you were born into it like most African Americans at the time. They continued
to be strong workers just to earn a living and provide for all their their
families.

Role of Blacks
The Industrial Revolution, though it made life better for some, only made life more harsh for the poor and African
Americans. African Americans, although they were freed from involuntary
servitude, they were still discriminated against and treated very poorly and
received a much smaller pay than everyone else. They primarily worked in the
factories in dangerous conditions among other common people, or often worked
along those in poverty with even more hazardous jobs.

Income and Wealth
During the industrial revolution, most common people were
considered lower-class by today's standards. Even children starting from the age
of three had to work long hours every day in harsh dangerous conditions that
were either barely regulated, or not regulated at all. Many of them had to work
in factories and out in the fields for over 12 hours every day. Sometimes they
even had to work up to nineteen hours with little pay. They had no choice
whether they wanted to do this or not, they had to to support their families.
Most families had to have every able bodied member work to support them just to
keep out of poverty.

City and Urban
Many parts of various cities all across the United States
have begun to grow bad. They are often abandoned or in such a bad condition they
cannot be used anymore and nobody ever has the time to go through them and clean
the up or demolish them. This has grown dangerous, for thugs and homeless people
willing to do anything to survive usually live in these areas, which are growing
larger very fast. Even much of the good parts are showing signs of turning into
this. With this much extreme poverty and people starving to death, you would
think the government would at least take precautions and make sure job
conditions were safe, but they did not at all and the people who actually have
jobs are suffering too.

City and Urban
During the early industrial revolution in America, many large scale
buildings were starting to be made. This time period was when america was
actually starting to look modernized and layer down the foundation for how it
looks in present day. Cities and the population started growing bigger and
bigger. The center of envy city had to best access to stores, taverns,
hospitals, and whatever else they wanted. This is why the center of towns and
cities was considered one of the best areas to live in that time period because
of all the accessibility to everything.
